Week 2. (05/10/15 – 09/10/15) October 2015

Monday.

I want to highlight the possibilities that are capable with digital manipulation. I will critically review inspired works that will be relevant towards my product, info that is not relevant can be used to compare and contrast

Wednesday.

The problem I face right now is that my project is too vague, creating an EP as an experimental mix of acoustic studio recordings and In box technical production doesn't have any specific to it. I am going to focus my EP on audio manipulation, I will record all my own sounds and music from studio and Field recording and then my technical skill will be shown from what I do with that audio in a creative manner.

Title change.

'An Investigation into the Technical skills of Audio Manipluation with Instrumental Studio Recordings and Field Recordings' to be used for an EP.

Reference event.

With headlines and guests that I knew would inspire my product idea, I attended an event at the HIFI club, one artist in particular, known as 'Vanuq', worked with, pads, decks and other MIDI synthesized equipment.

His work was very experimental, much like Bambooman, who I originally attended to see, with unique beats, chops, vocals and bass lines. I will listen to more of his work and draw inspiration from it if need be.
